The Eagles Landing Hotel addition, for the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation, is a 92 room addition with 11 roughed in future rooms on the fifth floor. The main lobby, breakfast area and back of house functions such as laundry, receiving, kitchen, storage and offices will be extensively remodeled to accommodate 80 new slot machines and a future count of approximately 150 slot machines. The exterior was designed to be compatible with the existing hotel but nestles fifth floor rooms up into the roof structure. The roof is a combination of asphalt shingles on a 6/12 pitch and standing seam metal roof on shed dormers with a 2/12 pitch. Siding is a combination of lap siding, board and batt and panel siding with extensive stone veneer in a field blend and darker stone base. Guest rooms and suites have a new interior design flavor and will feel larger and brighter than the existing. The lobby remodel will include a stone, granite, steel and etched glass accent wall that defines the perimeter of the gaming space. Log post and beams will be used to frame entrances and a unique wood trellis type ceiling treatment will be used extensively outside, inside the lobby and connecting corridor to provide interest. Demolition and construction is scheduled to begin in January by PNE Construction. |
