This facility will serve as the new emergency operations center for Thurston County and permanently house the County’s emergency management and homeland security staff.  As an essential public facility, this single-story, wood framed building is designed to significantly exceed seismic code and energy standards.  The building is also designed to LEED Gold standards and includes the use of certified wood, solar PV panels, rain water harvesting for plumbing and irrigation, office day lighting, and the use of recycled and low-emitting finish materials to comprise a healthy and highly sustainable work environment for County staff and emergency responders.
